Room 3

Room 3
We have started our week with enthusiasm and excitement. Our class photo was taken outside the Intermediate Inquiry Room. We have started our Inquiry about "The Treaty of Waitangi." Students came up with many questions and are working in their groups researching information. I hope parents and whanau are playing the place value maths homework activities.

Sport with Grant

Every Wednesday afternoon, the two senior classes play sport with Grant.  This week we played softball and volleyball.  In softball we learnt how to bat as well as field.  The rules of batting were simple. All we had to do was keep our hands together, not drop the bat on the base, not throw the bat, not hit the ball into foul ball area and swing the bat fast.  Both classes had already learnt how to play volleyball so it was more of a friendzie game.  Both classes got to have a turn at each sport and really enjoyed it.

Magpies Fun day

10 St Mary's students were lucky enough to to get the opportunity to meet the Magpies through Nimons. We really enjoyed the experience of hanging out with them, getting autographs, having a free lunch and watching them train.

Praying The Rosary

This week we have been leaning about the four mysteries, we put ourselves into four groups of five and chose which mystery we were going to do, after we had chosen we got to draw a picture and then paint our art with dye once we had finished we would go around it with black felt, just so that it stands out.
The mysteries are... The Joyful Mysteries, The mysteries of light, The Sorrowful mysteries and The Glorious mysteries.
